QIAxpert iPad Promo

The QIAxpert microvolume spectrophotometer from QIAGEN pairs a benchtop UV-Vis reader with an iPad for touchscreen operation and wireless data review. Built around disposable microfluidic Cuvette slides, the system quantifies dsDNA, ssDNA, RNA, and protein samples in 1–2 µL without dilution, delivering readings in roughly 5 seconds per measurement.

Researchers use QIAxpert for nucleic acid quantification during PCR setup, sequencing library preparation, restriction digestion, and transfection workflows. The instrument scans across a wavelength range of 230–750 nm, recording full absorbance spectra so purity can be assessed by A260/A280 and A260/A230 ratios in a single run. An integrated dilution-free protocol and automatic path-length detection reduce pipetting errors and minimise sample consumption, making the platform well suited to high-throughput genomics and forensics laboratories.
