Multiplex quantitative PCR reaches five targets per reaction on this QIAGEN benchtop thermal cycler, which pairs a 96-position block with five independent fluorescence channels for gene expression analysis, SNP genotyping, viral load measurement, and pathogen detection workflows in molecular biology laboratories.

The 230V mains configuration matches European and most international laboratory power supplies. Sample volumes from 10 to 50 µL accommodate standard plate formats, while the thermal block ramps between 4°C and 99°C with tight uniformity for reproducible cycling. Five optical channels span the major fluorophore spectra, with filter sets covering FAM, HEX/VIC, ROX, Cy5, and a fifth channel reserved for additional dyes such as Quasar 670 or Atto dyes.

Standalone operation runs from the integrated touchscreen, removing the need for a connected computer during routine assays. Gradient functionality supports assay optimization across the block. For research use only applications including mRNA quantification, copy number variation studies, microbial detection from extracted nucleic acids, and pharmaceutical quality control, the open-format design accepts third-party master mixes alongside QIAGEN's QuantiNova and other real-time PCR reagent kits.
