QIAquant 96 5plex (115 V)

Combining a gold-coated silver sample block with a fast fiber-optic shuttle system, the QIAGEN QIAquant 96 5plex (115 V) is a high-performance real-time PCR thermal cycler offering 5plex detection in a 96-well block format. The instrument delivers fast cycling down to 30 minutes, a 6-second read-out for the entire plate, temperature uniformity of ±0.15°C at 55°C, a motorized heated lid adjustable from 30°C to 110°C, a 3°C–99°C temperature range, a maximum heating rate of 8°C/s, a 40°C gradient in 0.1°C steps, and a sample volume range of 5–100 µl (10 to 80 µl recommended).

The system supports both SYBR Green and probe-based assays with up to five color modules for multiplexing, using four high-intensity LEDs (blue, green, white, red) and a photomultiplier detector. Sensitivity is specified at 1 nmol/l FAM at a 30 µl sample volume in a 96-well PCR plate, with a dynamic range of 10 log stages. Suited to gene expression analysis, genotyping, and pathogen detection, it is operated via touchscreen and/or PC.

Analysis methods include absolute quantification, relative quantification, ΔΔCt method, allelic discrimination, efficiency calculation, DNA melting curves, and POS/NEG analysis at the end point. Results can be exported to Excel, CSV, LIMS, GenEx, and qBase. The unit is supplied with a 115V power specification.
