QIAcube Connect Device PRV-1

Manufactured by QIAGEN, the QIAcube Connect Device PRV-1 is a device variant of the QIAcube Connect platform designed to perform fully automated purification of nucleic acids and proteins in molecular biology applications. The system is intended for use by professional users trained in molecular biological techniques and the operation of QIAcube Connect.

It automates the lyse, bind, wash, and elute steps of QIAGEN spin-column protocols for DNA, RNA, and protein sample processing, though some sample types require manual lysis. A guided software setup process helps standardize the first step in research workflows, and runs are started by pressing a button. The instrument supports an extensive range of protocols, including over 140 standard protocols for the most frequently used applications and compatibility with over 80 trusted QIAGEN spin column kits, with optional protocol customization expanding the use to virtually any application.

Connectivity features include a QIAsphere Base to connect to the local network and the ability to track instrument status remotely through QIAsphere. The illuminated worktable supports dynamic processing capabilities, while a built-in UV light allows decontamination of the entire worktable. Managed user access tracks usage and protects data. The system includes a barcode reader and a 1-year warranty on parts and labor, and is intended to improve throughput and consistency in routine workflows while maintaining compatibility with QIAGEN reagent kits and established laboratory procedures.
