In published biological work, linoleic acid at 30 μM increased migration of IEC-6 rat intestinal epithelial cells in a wound healing assay, while rats fed a linoleate-deficient diet showed decreased body weight, an increased eicosatrienoate-to-arachidonate ratio in liver and serum phospholipids, and mild scaling of forepaw skin. A representative certificate of analysis (batch 0807902) reports HPLC purity of 99.2%, TLC purity of 100%, and a mass-spectrometric M-H signal at 290.4, with IR and NMR spectra conforming to specification.
