Fitted to the QIAsymphony automated sample preparation platform, this transparent shield from QIAGEN guards the pipetting deck against drips and aerosols released during nucleic acid extraction runs. The hinged panel sits above the sample carrier slots and the eluate rack, giving the operator unobstructed visual access while providing a physical barrier between the worktable and the open bench. Routine decontamination with 70% ethanol between runs is sufficient, and the polycarbonate construction tolerates repeated wipe-down cycles typical of clinical and forensic laboratories. Compatible with SP and AS modules operating under primary sample technology workflows, the accessory installs without tools and lifts away for scheduled maintenance access to the underlying deck.
