Engineered for integration with the QIAGEN BioRobot 8000 workstation, this vacuum-driven elution adapter channels purified nucleic acid eluate from the processing manifold directly into a collection vessel during automated DNA and RNA purification workflows. The accessory replaces the manual pipetting step that would otherwise interrupt a high-throughput run, supporting continuous sample handling across genomic, viral, or plasmid preparation protocols.

The unit seats on the BR8000 deck and connects to the instrument's internal vacuum line, providing uniform elution across each column position in a single motion. It accepts standard receiving tubes or plates and is fully compatible with QIAGEN reagent kits configured for the platform, delivering eluates that are ready for downstream applications such as PCR amplification, Sanger sequencing, restriction digestion, or next-generation library construction.

For routine maintenance, the sealing surface should be wiped free of residual buffer salts between runs, and the adapter should be replaced if the gasket shows visible compression set or cracking.
