DiagCORE® Operational Module

A compact molecular diagnostics workstation from QIAGEN, the DiagCORE Operational Module underpins PCR-based detection of pathogens linked to infectious disease, delivering walk-away sample-to-result processing for clinical laboratories. Built around closed, single-use test cartridges, the module integrates fluid handling, thermal cycling, and optical readout within a benchtop enclosure, reducing hands-on time and limiting contamination risk between runs. It accepts proprietary assay cartridges that streamline panel-based testing for respiratory pathogens, sexually transmitted infections, and other targets directly from primary sample tubes, removing the need for separate nucleic acid extraction steps. Reagent cartridges are refrigerated between runs, while the instrument itself is stored at room temperature on the bench. Each cartridge is a single-use consumable, and the module supports continuous loading to keep throughput high in routine diagnostic workflows while maintaining traceability for every specimen processed.
