100 bp DNA Ladder Ready to Load

This ready-to-use molecular weight marker from Solis BioDyne is formulated for DNA fragment size determination on agarose gel electrophoresis. The marker is supplied at a concentration of 0.1 µg/µl in a storage solution composed of 10 mM EDTA, 10% glycerol, 0.015% bromophenol blue and 0.17% SDS.

It contains 13 discrete DNA fragments ranging from 100 bp to 3,000 bp and includes bromophenol blue as a visual aid to monitor migration progress, producing accurate runs and crisp band patterns. For best results, the manufacturer recommends loading 5–10 µl of the marker per well; example run conditions are 150 V for a minimum of 45 minutes on a 1% agarose gel in 1x TBE, or 130–150 V for a minimum of 2 hours on a 2% agarose gel in 1x TBE.

Routine storage is at –18 °C to –28 °C, and shipping or temporary storage for up to one month at room temperature has no detrimental effect on product quality. The marker is manufactured by Solis BioDyne under ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certified Quality Management Systems and is intended for research use only.
