TaqNova Master Mix 2x (1000)

This 2x ready-to-use PCR master mix, distributed under the QIAGEN brand, is formulated to streamline reaction setup for high-throughput workflows. All that needs adding to the master mix is template, primer pair, and water, which reduces handling time and the risk of contamination, particularly when preparing large numbers of reactions.

The 2x concentrated solution contains a reaction buffer, 4 mM MgCl₂, 1.6 mM dNTPs mix (0.4 mM of each dNTP), 0.04 U/µl TaqNova DNA Polymerase, plus a red inner dye and density reagent that allow direct loading of PCR products onto a gel. The recombinant Taq DNA polymerase has a half-life of 45 minutes at 95°C, amplifies fragments of up to 5 kb, and leaves A overhangs suitable for TA cloning. The product is free of unspecific nucleases and has been extensively tested for PCR applications.

Suitable applications include efficient amplification of short and medium size DNA sequences, routine PCR, diagnostic PCR, and TA cloning. Store all components at -20°C; after thawing, the product remains stable at +4°C for at least two months, and up to ten freeze/thaw cycles will not compromise product performance.
