QIAGEN's amplification kit for next-generation sequencing (NGS) workflows provides the buffers and reagents needed for the library amplification step when preparing DNA libraries for use on Illumina instruments. As part of the GeneRead Library Prep family of kits for the preparation of DNA libraries for NGS applications, it supports a fast, one-tube procedure designed for reproducible library preparation.

The kit supplies an innovative high-fidelity master mix that contains GeneRead HiFi Polymerase, a unique, highly specific and processive enzyme that delivers accurate amplification of library DNA with low error rates and minimum bias. Together with its unique buffer formulation, the polymerase ensures uniform amplification of genomic regions that contain highly variable GC content, thereby ensuring even coverage in subsequent sequencing reactions.

As part of an optimized GeneRead Library Prep protocol, the kit fits into a workflow that delivers high yields of library DNA from as little as 50 ng of starting material, allows up to 50% time saving and supports multiplexing up to 96 samples on the sequencer.
