TaqNova Master Mix 2x (100)

A 2x concentrated, ready-to-use PCR master mix from QIAGEN, formulated to simplify and speed up PCR reaction setup. The mix contains reaction buffer, magnesium chloride, dNTPs and a thermostable Taq DNA polymerase, requiring only the addition of template, primers and water to set up a reaction. Supplementation with an inner red dye and a density reagent enables direct loading of PCR products onto a gel.

The TaqNova DNA Polymerase is a recombinant enzyme of high purity with a half-life of 45 minutes at 95°C, capable of amplifying fragments of up to 5 kb and leaving 'A' overhangs suitable for TA cloning. The 2x formulation reduces pipetting steps and helps decrease the risk of contamination, making it convenient for high-throughput and routine workflows including efficient amplification of short and medium size DNA sequences, routine PCR and diagnostic PCR.

Formulation details include 4 mM MgCl2, 1.6 mM dNTPs mix (0.4 mM of each dNTP) and 0.04 U/µl TaqNova DNA Polymerase. All components should be stored at -20°C; once thawed the product remains stable at +4°C for at least two months, with up to ten freeze/thaw cycles not compromising performance.
