TaqNova DNA Polymerase (200 U)

A recombinant, thermostable DNA polymerase isolated from Thermus aquaticus, supplied by QIAGEN for standard and specialized PCR applications. The 94 kDa enzyme catalyzes DNA synthesis in the 5'→3' direction, shows no 3'→5' exonuclease activity, and exhibits 5'→3' exonuclease activity. It is recommended for a wide range of applications requiring DNA synthesis at extremely high temperatures and works rapidly and effectively under varied PCR conditions.

Two reaction buffers are provided with the enzyme. The 10x TaqNova KCl buffer is recommended as a first approach and for applications requiring high specificity, while the 10x TaqNova (NH4)2SO4 buffer is recommended where high sensitivity and amplification efficiency are required, such as the amplification of multiple DNA fragments. The enzyme is shipped on dry ice and should be stored at –20°C.

Quality control testing shows protein purity greater than 95% with no DNase contamination detected, and the product is free of unspecific DNA nucleases.
