TAGZyme pQE Vector Set

Designed by QIAGEN for the high-level expression and tag-removal of His-tagged proteins in E. coli, this vector set enables production of recombinant proteins carrying an N-terminal His tag that can be cleaved using the TAGZyme system, supporting native protein recovery without additional residues.

The set comprises three expression vectors — pQE-2, pQE-3, and pQE-4 — that differ in their multiple cloning sites for flexible cloning options. A strong T5 promoter provides tight regulation and inducible expression. The His tag supports purification via Ni-NTA affinity chromatography, and after purification the TAGZyme enzyme system can precisely remove the tag, leaving the native protein sequence.

Intended for molecular biology applications, the set is suited to protein structural studies, enzymatic assays, and therapeutic protein production.
