Designed for accurate and reliable gene expression analysis, these assays are specifically developed and experimentally verified for real-time PCR analysis. The rigorous assay verification criteria ensure PCR specificity and efficiency for dependable gene expression results. Using SYBR Green-based quantitative real-time PCR technology, the assays provide a sensitive tool for gene expression analysis. Each assay employs a proprietary, experimentally verified algorithm for designing gene-specific qPCR primers with uniform PCR efficiency and amplification conditions. Every lot is wet-bench tested for real-time PCR performance, including specificity and amplification efficiency, with amplification of a single product of the correct size at high PCR efficiency guaranteed when used with RT² SYBR Green qPCR Mastermixes.

The uniform PCR efficiencies and conditions offer an accurate and scalable solution for multiple gene expression analyses. These assays may be used on any real-time instrument, with qPCR solutions available for popular instrumentation from QIAGEN, as well as ABI, BioRad, and Stratagene. Instrument-specific protocols are available for selected instruments. QIAGEN also recommends using the RT² First Strand Kit for reverse transcription.
