Rt IgG2b,k Ctrl, RTK4530, UC, 50µg

A rat IgG2b, kappa isotype control antibody, Clone RTK4530, from STEMCELL Technologies is intended for use as an isotype-matched control antibody to estimate the degree of non-specific binding by an antigen-specific antibody. Ideally, the isotype control should have the same subclass of heavy chain (IgA, IgD, IgE, IgG, or IgM) and light chain (kappa or lambda) as the specific antibody being employed, and when a conjugated antibody is used, an isotype control conjugated to the same molecule should be chosen.

This antibody clone has been verified for assessing non-specific binding to cells in applications such as flow cytometry and immunofluorescence microscopy, including surface and intracellular staining. It is suitable for use in flow cytometry, functional assays, immunocytochemistry, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, immunoprecipitation, and Western blot. Available formats include unconjugated as well as Alexa Fluor® 488, APC, Biotin, FITC, and PE conjugations.

Flow cytometry data for the unconjugated, Alexa Fluor® 488-, APC-, Biotin-, FITC-, and PE-conjugated forms are demonstrated on C57BL/6 mouse splenocytes, using an Anti-Mouse CD45 antibody (Clone 30-F11) as a positive control. The product is designed for use within immunology research.
