Ms IgG1,k Ctrl, MOPC-21, AD, 100tests

This mouse monoclonal isotype control antibody from STEMCELL Technologies (Clone MOPC-21) is designed to estimate the degree of non-specific binding by an antigen-specific antibody. The antibody has an IgG1, kappa isotype and is produced by a mineral oil-induced plasmacytoma cell line. It has been screened on a variety of activated, resting, live and fixed tissues from mouse, rat, human, and non-human primates, and shows unknown binding specificity.

The antibody is conjugated with Alexa Fluor® 488 and has been purified by affinity chromatography. It is supplied in a phosphate-buffered solution, pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide and 0.2% (w/v) bovine serum albumin. The suggested use is at 5 µL/test, at concentrations comparable to those of the specific antibody of interest. The product is stable at 2–8°C when stored undiluted; it should not be frozen and should be protected from prolonged exposure to light.

The reagent has been verified for flow cytometry (FC), immunocytochemistry (ICC), and immunofluorescence microscopy (IF), including surface and intracellular staining. Representative data include flow cytometry analysis of dendritic cells derived from human peripheral blood mononuclear cells, as well as immunofluorescence labeling of human embryonic stem (ES) and induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells cultured using mTeSR™1 on Corning® Matrigel®-coated substrates.
