This rat IgG2b, kappa isotype control antibody, clone RTK4530, from STEMCELL Technologies serves as an isotype-matched control for estimating the degree of non-specific binding by an antigen-specific antibody. Ideally, the isotype control should share the same heavy chain subclass and light chain as the specific antibody being employed, and if that antibody is conjugated, the control should be conjugated to the same molecule, such as a fluorochrome.
