From STEMCELL Technologies, this rat monoclonal IgG2b, kappa isotype control antibody (Clone RTK4530) is conjugated to FITC and is suitable for use as an isotype-matched control to estimate the degree of non-specific binding by an antigen-specific antibody. The isotype control should share the same heavy chain subclass and light chain type as the specific antibody in use, and a conjugated control should be matched to the same fluorochrome.

The clone was raised against Trinitrophenol + KLH and recognizes keyhole limpet hemocyanin (KLH), with unknown binding specificity, having been screened on activated, resting, live, and fixed tissues from mouse, rat, human, and non-human primates. It has been verified for assessing non-specific binding to cells in flow cytometry applications.

The product is supplied in a phosphate-buffered solution (pH 7.2) containing 0.09% sodium azide and 0.2% (w/v) bovine serum albumin. The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and conjugated with FITC under optimal conditions. Store undiluted at 2 - 8°C; do not freeze, and protect from prolonged exposure to light.
