Rt IgG2b,k Ctrl, RTK4530, FI, 200µg

A FITC-conjugated rat monoclonal IgG2b, kappa isotype control antibody from STEMCELL Technologies, clone RTK4530, is suitable as an isotype-matched control for estimating the degree of non-specific binding by an antigen-specific antibody. Clone RTK4530 recognises keyhole limpet hemocyanin (KLH) and has unknown binding specificity, having been screened on activated, resting, live, and fixed tissues from mouse, rat, human, and non-human primates.

The antibody has been verified for use as an isotype control in flow cytometry and is recommended at concentrations comparable to those of the specific antibody of interest. It was purified by affinity chromatography and conjugated with FITC under optimal conditions, and the solution is free of unconjugated FITC. The product is supplied as a clear liquid formulated in phosphate-buffered solution at pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide.

According to the manufacturer's safety data sheet, the mixture is not classified as hazardous under GHS or the 2012 OSHA Hazard Communication Standard. The product is stable when stored undiluted at 2 - 8°C; it should not be frozen and should be protected from prolonged exposure to light. It is intended for research use only.
