Rt IgG2a,k Ctrl, RTK2758, PE, 25µg

STEMCELL Technologies offers the RTK2758 clone as a rat IgG2a, kappa isotype control antibody intended to estimate the degree of non-specific binding by an antigen-specific antibody. As an isotype-matched control, it shares the same subclass of heavy chain (IgA, IgD, IgE, IgG, or IgM) and light chain (kappa or lambda) as the specific antibody being employed; where a conjugated antibody is used, an isotype control conjugated to the same molecule (e.g. fluorochrome) should be chosen. The PE-conjugated format shown here is part of a range that also includes Alexa Fluor 488, APC, Biotin, FITC, and unconjugated versions.

The clone has been verified for use as an isotype control for assessing non-specific binding to cells in applications such as flow cytometry and immunofluorescence microscopy (surface and intracellular staining). Additional applications listed by the manufacturer include functional assays, immunocytochemistry, immunohistochemistry, immunoprecipitation, and Western blot, with the intended area of interest being immunology.
