Rt IgG2a,k Ctrl, RTK2758, AD, 100µg

STEMCELL Technologies offers this Rat IgG2a, kappa Isotype Control Antibody (Clone RTK2758) conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 488 for use as an isotype-matched negative control. The reagent is supplied as a clear liquid and is described as chemically stable under normal conditions. It is intended for use as a laboratory reagent.

The antibody is designed to estimate non-specific binding by an antigen-specific antibody; ideally, the isotype control shares the same heavy chain subclass (IgG2a) and light chain (kappa) as the specific antibody being employed. Because this reagent is conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 488, it is suited to pairing with primary antibodies labelled with the same fluorochrome. The clone has been verified as an isotype control for assessing non-specific binding to cells in flow cytometry and in immunofluorescence microscopy applications, including both surface and intracellular staining.

Suitable applications include flow cytometry, functional assays, immunocytochemistry, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, immunoprecipitation, and Western blot. Storage guidance from the manufacturer calls for keeping containers tightly closed in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated place.
