Rt IgG1,k Ctrl, RTK2071, PE, 100µg

This rat monoclonal IgG1, kappa isotype control antibody (Clone RTK2071) from STEMCELL Technologies is suitable for use as an isotype-matched control to estimate the degree of non-specific binding by an antigen-specific antibody. Ideally, the isotype control should match the subclass of heavy chain (IgA, IgD, IgE, IgG, or IgM) and light chain (kappa or lambda) of the specific antibody being employed, and where a conjugated antibody is in use, an isotype control conjugated to the same molecule (e.g. fluorochrome) should be chosen.

The antibody has been verified for assessing non-specific binding to cells in applications such as flow cytometry and immunofluorescence microscopy (surface and intracellular staining), and helps confirm the specificity of an antigen-specific antibody and indicate non-specific binding that may result from interactions with Fc receptors or other cell components. Available conjugations include Alexa Fluor® 488, APC, Biotin, FITC, PE, and unconjugated formats. Reported research applications include flow cytometry, functional assays, immunocytochemistry, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, immunoprecipitation, and Western blot, with the product positioned for use in immunology-related research.
