For laboratories performing routine thermal accuracy verification on QIAGEN's Rotor-Gene Q real-time cyclers, this Optical Temperature Verification kit offers an easy-to-use, cost-effective means of automating accuracy testing. Unlike most real-time cyclers, where this verification requires interaction with a service engineer, the Rotor-Gene Q can be checked without one. The kit includes a specialized Rotor-Disc filled with temperature-sensitive liquid crystals, fluorescent inserts, and a CD containing the files needed to run the verification. Setup is quick and simple, with the complete process taking about 40 minutes.

Use of the kit requires a Rotor-Disc 72 Rotor and Locking Ring, or a Rotor-Disc 72 Starter Kit. A certificate is supplied as an electronic file, which can be downloaded from the CD included in the kit.
