Description
A T cell enrichment cocktail from STEMCELL Technologies, designed to isolate CD8+ T cells from human whole blood by negative selection. Unwanted non-CD8+ T cells and red blood cells are tagged by Tetrameric Antibody Complexes (TAC); after density gradient centrifugation, these cells pellet together while CD8+ T cells are recovered as an enriched population at the plasma–density medium interface.
The reagent contains a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody directed against CD8a in human, rhesus, and cynomolgus. When starting from fresh peripheral blood, the CD8+ cell content of the enriched fraction typically ranges from 81% – 95%.
