RNeasy Mini Kit (50)

QIAGEN offers a silica-membrane-based system for fast purification of high-quality total RNA from small to large amounts of cells, tissues, and yeast using spin columns. Samples are first lysed and homogenized, ethanol is added to the lysate to provide ideal binding conditions, and the lysate is loaded onto the RNeasy silica membrane where RNA binds and contaminants are efficiently washed away. For applications sensitive to very small amounts of DNA, residual DNA can be removed using a convenient on-column DNase treatment, and pure, concentrated RNA is eluted in water.

RNA purified with this technology has A260/280 ratios of 1.9–2.1 (measured in 10 mM Tris·Cl, pH 7.5), supporting downstream applications including quantitative real-time RT-PCR, RNA-seq, end-point RT-PCR, Northern, dot, and slot blotting, array analysis, and Poly A+ RNA selection. The RNeasy Mini Kit can be processed manually or used with the dedicated RNeasy Mini QIAcube Kit on the QIAcube Connect for fully automated purification of up to 12 samples per run. Tissue samples can be stabilized with RNAprotect Tissue Reagent or Allprotect Tissue Reagent and disrupted using a TissueRuptor II or TissueLyser II or LT system.
