QIAGEN Plasmid Maxi Kit (25)

QIAGEN provides a gravity-flow, anion-exchange system for purification of transfection-grade plasmid DNA. Designed for culture volumes of 100–500 ml, the QIAGEN Plasmid Maxi Kit processes high-copy, low-copy, and cosmid DNA through manual, gravity-flow operation using anion-exchange technology. One sample is processed per run, with a typical run time of 160 min and a yield of up to 500 µg of high-copy plasmid DNA.

Prepacked QIAGEN-tips operate by gravity flow, and the system avoids toxic substances such as phenol, chloroform, ethidium bromide, and CsCl. Lysate clearing and isopropanol precipitation are achieved by centrifugation. Plasmid DNA purified with the kit is highly suitable for applications including transfection, cloning, sequencing, capillary sequencing, and in vitro transcription.

The kit can be stored at room temperature (15–25°C) for up to 2 years if not otherwise stated on the label.
