REPLI-g Human Control Kit (25)

A control genomic DNA reagent from QIAGEN, referenced in the REPLI-g Screening Handbook as a control option for whole genome amplification experiments. The REPLI-g Screening Kit is intended for molecular biology applications and is not intended for the diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of a disease.

The handbook describes how this control genomic DNA can be incorporated into amplification protocols alongside test samples from purified genomic DNA, whole blood, or cultured cells. For the purified genomic DNA protocol, 10 ng (1 μl) of the control DNA is used, with the volume adjusted to the sample starting volume using Buffer TE. The control undergoes the same workflow: denaturation in Buffer SB1 for 5 min at 65°C, addition of Buffer SB2 and REPLI-g Mini DNA Polymerase, followed by isothermal incubation at 30°C for 10–16 h and heat inactivation at 65°C for 3 min.
