QuantiTect Multiplex PCR NoRox Kit(1000)

QIAGEN's multiplex PCR kit is supplied as a 2x master mix free of ROX passive reference dye, formulated for quantitative, multiplex, real-time PCR and two-step RT-PCR using sequence-specific probes. Depending on the real-time cycler used, up to 5 targets can be quantified simultaneously in the same well or tube. The NoROX format is intended for cyclers that function without ROX dye, including instruments from Bio-Rad/MJ Research, Cepheid, QIAGEN, Eppendorf, Roche, and Agilent, and removes the dye-related constraint when selecting reporter probes.

The 2x master mix contains HotStarTaq DNA Polymerase, QuantiTect Multiplex PCR Buffer (with 11 mM MgCl2), and a dNTP mix of dATP, dCTP, dGTP, and dTTP/dUTP. The hot-start enzyme is inactive at ambient temperature, preventing formation of misprimed products and primer–dimers during reaction setup and the first denaturation step, and is activated by a 15-minute, 95°C incubation step. The buffer has been specifically developed for quantitative, multiplex, real-time PCR using sequence-specific probes.

The kit is shipped on dry ice and stored at –20°C in a constant-temperature freezer, protected from light. Each component is tested against predetermined specifications under QIAGEN's ISO-certified Quality Management System, and the product is manufactured using Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) principles.
