QuantiNova IC Probe Assay (200)

The QuantiNova IC Probe Assay (200) is a probe-based detection assay from QIAGEN designed for use with the Internal Control (IC) RNA supplied in the QuantiNova Reverse Transcription Kit, the QuantiNova Probe RT-PCR Kit, and the QuantiNova Pathogen +IC Kit. It is used to verify successful reverse transcription and amplification, reporting instrument or chemistry failures, errors in assay setup, and the presence of inhibitors.

The assay is detected as a 200 bp internal control amplicon in the yellow or red channel on the Rotor-Gene Q, or in the VIC/HEX dye channel on other real-time PCR instruments. It carries a Max label and is intended for probe-based workflows, complementing the alternative QuantiNova IC Probe Assay Red 650 (Cy5 analog label) and the SYBR Green-based QuantiNova IC SYBR Green Assay available via GeneGlobe.

When used together with the IC RNA, the assay supports reliable confirmation of RT-PCR performance and reproducibility, helping ensure accurate quantification in real-time PCR experiments.
