QuantiNova Probe RT-PCR Kit (500)

This real-time RT-PCR kit from QIAGEN is designed for highly sensitive and ultrafast quantitative analysis of RNA targets using sequence-specific probes. It enables one-step reverse transcription and PCR in a single tube, supporting a workflow compatible with dual-labeled probes such as TaqMan probes and accommodating diverse RNA inputs including total RNA from eukaryotes and prokaryotes, poly(A)-RNA, and in vitro-transcribed RNA.

A two-phase hot-start mechanism underpins performance: a room-temperature-stable reverse transcriptase paired with an antibody-mediated hot-start DNA polymerase and the Q-Bond additive enable short cycling steps without loss of sensitivity. Reaction setup can be performed at room temperature for up to two hours without compromising results, and the kit can be used on any real-time cycler, with the optional addition of the supplied ROX Reference Dye for instruments that require a passive reference. An optional Internal Control RNA is included to flag instrument or chemistry failures, assay-setup errors, and the presence of common inhibitors such as phenol, ethanol, SDS, or EDTA, while the Yellow Template Dilution Buffer provides a built-in visual check for correct template addition. The kit is intended for molecular biology applications and is not intended for the diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of a disease.
