QuantiNova Probe PCR Kit (500)

From QIAGEN, this probe-based real-time PCR kit is designed for highly sensitive, specific and ultrafast amplification of DNA targets. The kit enables accurate detection of rare targets down to a single copy and is optimised for singleplex or duplex analysis of cDNA or gDNA on various real-time cyclers. Reactions remain stable for 100 hours at 30°C, supporting room-temperature handling of multiple samples and automated workflows. The master mix contains an inert blue dye that turns green when template nucleic acid diluted in the yellow template dilution buffer is added, providing a built-in visual control for correct pipetting.

A novel antibody-mediated hot-start mechanism keeps the QuantiNova DNA Polymerase inactive at low temperatures. A QuantiNova Antibody and a novel additive, QuantiNova Guard, stabilise the complex and prevent extension of nonspecifically annealed primers and formation of primer–dimers. Raising the temperature to 95°C for 2 minutes denatures the antibody and guard, activating the polymerase and enabling PCR amplification. The kit delivers consistent sensitivity, reproducibility and efficiency across different real-time cyclers, and a separate ROX tube can be added when using a cycler that requires ROX as a passive reference dye.
