QuantiNova Multiplex RT-PCR Kit (100)

Part of QIAGEN's QuantiNova family of real-time PCR and RT-PCR kits, this multiplex RT-PCR kit provides probe-based detection of up to five targets per well. The QuantiNova kits represent the manufacturer's most advanced portfolio, replacing the QuantiFast and Rotor-Gene product lines, and offer advantages in handling, speed, and in-process safety.

The kit enables direct amplification from a single cell or up to 800 ng of template, supporting reliable quantification of low- and high-abundance targets. A novel antibody-mediated hot-start mechanism reactivates Taq polymerase in 2–3 minutes, with a QuantiNova Guard molecule ensuring extraordinary stringency of hot-start, while a two-phase hot-start procedure allows reaction setup at room temperature for streamlined automation and one-step RT-qPCR. The reverse transcriptase is a newly developed RNase H-deficient Moloney Murine Leukemia Virus Reverse Transcriptase (M-MLV RT).

For reaction assembly, the kit includes a 4x QuantiNova Multiplex RT-PCR Master Mix, QuantiNova Multiplex RT-Mix, QuantiNova IC RNA (an optional internal control for monitoring inhibitors), QuantiNova Yellow Template Dilution Buffer, QN ROX Reference Dye (adjustable for "Low ROX" and "High ROX" cyclers), and RNase-Free Water. Tracking dyes in the formulation provide visual confirmation of pipetting. The kit is suited for multiplex gene expression analysis of RNA targets on any real-time cycler, including the Rotor-Gene Q and instruments from Applied Biosystems, Bio-Rad, Cepheid, Eppendorf, Roche, and Agilent, with a 5-plex-capable instrument such as the Rotor-Gene Q recommended to fully exploit multiplexing capability.
