QuantiNova LNA Probe PCRCustomAssay(750) - FAM

This probe-based assay from QIAGEN is part of the QuantiNova LNA Probe PCR System and is designed for highly sensitive, real-time RT-PCR detection of individual mRNA and lncRNA targets using hydrolysis probes. It is supplied as a single primer/probe mix for highly sensitive and rapid real-time quantification of single mRNA and lncRNA targets.

The assay uses LNA (Locked Nucleic Acid) technology. Both the forward and reverse PCR amplification primers are LNA-enhanced, with LNAs placed to fully optimize primer performance, and the hydrolysis probe is also optimized with LNA to enable reliable detection at very low target quantities. According to the handbook, each incorporated LNA monomer raises the melting temperature of a duplex by 2–8°C, allowing shorter oligonucleotides to be designed while retaining a high Tm and enabling discrimination between closely related sequences, including those differing by single nucleotides.

All QuantiNova LNA Probe PCR Assays and Panels should be protected from light and stored in the dark. Each lot is produced under QIAGEN's ISO-certified Quality Management System and is tested against predetermined specifications to ensure consistent product quality. The assay is developed and optimized for use with QIAGEN QuantiNova reagents: for 2-step RT-PCR it is recommended to combine with the QuantiNova Reverse Transcription Kit and the QuantiNova Probe PCR Kit, and for 1-step RT-PCR with the QuantiNova Probe RT-PCR Kit.
