QuantiFast Pathogen RT-PCR +IC Kit (400)

QIAGEN's QuantiFast Pathogen RT-PCR +IC Kit detects viral RNA in one-step RT-PCR using sequence-specific probes and includes an Internal Control for reliable interpretation of negative results. The concentrated 5x QuantiFast Pathogen PCR Master Mix allows larger template volumes for higher sensitivity, and HotStarTaq Plus DNA Polymerase activates in 5 minutes at 95°C so qPCR reactions can be set up at room temperature.

Supplied reagents include QuantiFast Pathogen RT Mix containing Sensiscript Reverse Transcriptase, optimised for highly sensitive reverse transcription of viral RNA, and QuantiTect Nucleic Acid Dilution Buffer that stabilises RNA and DNA standards and prevents loss on plastic surfaces. Two ROX reference dye tubes are included: ROX Dye Solution for the Applied Biosystems 7500 and similar instruments, and High-ROX Dye Solution for the Applied Biosystems 7900 and StepOne systems. The master mix itself contains no ROX.

An Internal Control RNA template and a premixed Internal Control Assay (TaqMan probe labelled with MAX, equivalent to HEX or VIC) support duplex RT-PCR. The QuantiFast Pathogen Buffer provides a balanced NH4+/K+ ion formulation, and synthetic Factor MP enables reliable multiplexing of up to four targets per tube. The Q-Bond additive shortens run times. Reactions can be run on most standard and fast real-time cyclers compatible with duplex RT-PCR, including the Rotor-Gene Q and instruments from Agilent, Applied Biosystems, Bio-Rad and Roche.
