According to the manufacturer's published phase-out information, this QuantiFast product is being superseded by the corresponding QuantiNova Multiplex RT-PCR Kit. The QuantiNova family is described as QIAGEN's most advanced generation of real-time PCR and RT-PCR kits, offering improved handling, speed, and in-process safety tools for superior workflow reliability and efficiency. Production of the QuantiFast and Rotor-Gene PCR kit product lines was scheduled to be discontinued by June 30, 2021, with availability afterward only while stocks last.

The successor QuantiNova Multiplex kits allow direct amplification from a single cell or up to 800 ng template for reliable quantification of low- and high-abundance targets, support sensitive, probe-based detection of up to five targets per well, and feature a room temperature setup that enables automation and streamlines one-step RT-qPCR workflows.
