The kit is designed for the rapid and efficient preparation of plasmid DNA from bacterial cultures, using spin-column technology. The workflow follows an alkaline lysis method in which plasmid DNA binds to a silica membrane in the spin column; contaminants are removed by washing, and the DNA is eluted in a low-salt buffer for downstream applications such as cloning, sequencing, and transfection.
