QIAseq xHYB Respiratory Panel 96

Built around a hybridization-based capture workflow, the QIAGEN QIAseq xHYB Respiratory Panel enables simultaneous detection of more than 200 viral and bacterial targets in a single next-generation sequencing run. Captured regions cover SARS-CoV-2, influenza A/B, RSV A/B, parainfluenza viruses, common seasonal coronaviruses, adenovirus, bocavirus, rhinovirus, metapneumovirus, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Chlamydia pneumoniae, and Legionella pneumophila, supporting both presence detection and strain-level subtyping directly from human respiratory specimens. Indexed adapters allow multiplexed sequencing of 96 libraries, fitting high-throughput surveillance and outbreak investigation pipelines on Illumina sequencing platforms. The protocol accommodates low-input RNA and DNA extracts and incorporates unique molecular indices (UMIs) to limit PCR amplification bias and refine variant calls. Supplied as a single-use kit with hybridization buffers, wash reagents, and biotinylated capture probes, the panel supports research use only in laboratory workflows performing viral and bacterial metagenomic characterization.
