QIAseq Universal Normalizer Kit (24)

QIAGEN's NGS library normalization kit provides a fast and easy workflow to adjust many different types of libraries to a fixed concentration without prior library quantification. The kit uses modified library amplification primers together with a magnetic bead-based chemistry to efficiently bind and release a defined amount of library molecules in a tightly controlled fashion. Normalized libraries reach a target concentration of approximately 4 nmol/L, enabling them to be pooled at equal volumes for balanced sequencing depth and optimal clustering on Illumina flow cells.

The workflow follows a simple bind–wash–elute routine. Prior to normalization, libraries must be modified using the Normalizer Primer Mix. During a 2-cycle PCR in the presence of the Normalizer Primer Mix, modifications can be added to virtually any Illumina library with intact P5/P7 ends. The dsDNA library molecules are eluted from the beads under non-denaturing conditions and can be safely stored at −20°C.

The kit is compatible with virtually all libraries that can be sequenced on Illumina sequencing instruments, including QIAGEN and third-party library preparation workflows. It is not compatible with PCR-free library preparation. The accuracy of library balancing is reported to be equal or superior to that achieved by qPCR. The product is intended for molecular biology applications and is not intended for the diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of a disease.
