Description

The QIAGEN QIAseq Targeted RNAscan Panel is a molecular biology reagent system for constructing molecularly barcoded libraries from RNA to support gene fusion analysis using digital next-generation sequencing. The workflow described in the handbook covers first-strand cDNA synthesis, primer priming, reverse transcription, second-strand synthesis, end repair and dA-tailing, adapter ligation, sample cleanup steps, single primer extension target enrichment, and universal PCR amplification.

It is presented as a complete Sample to Insight digital RNA-seq solution for quantifying known and new fusion genes using NGS, relying on unique molecular indexes (UMIs) for unbiased, accurate data analysis. Bench-tested cataloged panel designs for human samples include the Human Hematology Panel (156 total primers), the Human Solid Tumor Panel (101), the Human Lung Cancer Panel (137), and the Human Oncology Panel (950). Separate protocols are provided for use on Illumina instruments and on the Ion Torrent platform, with dedicated adapter and index options for each.

Box 1 is shipped on dry ice and stored at −30 to −15 °C, while Box 2 (QIAseq Beads) is shipped on cold packs and stored at 4 °C. The kit is intended for molecular biology applications and is not intended for the diagnosis, prevention or treatment of a disease. Each lot is tested against predetermined specifications under QIAGEN's ISO-certified Quality Management System.
