QIAGEN's QIAseq Targeted RNAscan HC Panel belongs to the Fusion Gene Profiling line within the QIAseq Targeted Panel family of next-generation sequencing solutions. Built around molecular barcode (tag) technology for digital sequencing, the product is configured to be used together with a separate Index kit and serves as a target enrichment and library preparation reagent.

The workflow labels and amplifies targets with molecular barcodes to prevent PCR duplication and applies single primer extension, enabling copy number variation analysis and coverage of high GC-rich regions. The QIAseq portfolio offers cataloged panels for human DNA, RNA, and RNAscan targets, with a custom panel option also available. The reagents are designed for use on Illumina and Ion Torrent platforms and are supported by a cloud-based data analysis platform, with qualitative descriptions in the manufacturer literature noting high uniformity and sensitivity.
