QIAseq Stranded mRNA Select Kit (24)

This QIAGEN kit provides strand-specific mRNA enrichment and library preparation for next-generation sequencing workflows. It employs poly(A) selection to capture polyadenylated transcripts, reducing rRNA background for focused transcriptome profiling. The complete workflow supplies reagents for mRNA capture, fragmentation, reverse transcription, adapter ligation, and library amplification.

Y-shaped sample index adapter plates and magnetized QIAseq Beads are included to streamline cleanups between protocol steps, enabling accurate one-day stranded NGS library construction. According to the manufacturer handbook, each typical mammalian cell contains 10–30 pg of total RNA, with mRNA accounting for only 1–5% of the total, and the kit provides all the necessary reagents and buffers for the isolation of poly(A)+ mRNA.

The kit is compatible with Illumina sequencing and is suited for studies of gene expression, alternative splicing, and transcript isoforms.
