QIAseq Stranded mRNA Lib Kit UDI (24)

This stranded mRNA library preparation kit from QIAGEN enables construction of strand-specific RNA-seq libraries enriched for polyadenylated RNA, intended for next-generation sequencing on Illumina platforms. The kit supports whole-transcriptome or mRNA-enriched library preparation and enables accurate stranded NGS library construction from a broad range of RNA inputs.

The workflow incorporates poly(A)+ mRNA enrichment, RNA fragmentation, first-strand reverse transcription, second-strand synthesis combined with end-repair and A-addition, strand-specific adapter ligation, and CleanStart PCR amplification. Magnetized QIAseq Beads are supplied for reaction cleanups between protocol steps.

Y-shaped dual-index adapter plates are provided to support sample multiplexing. The Unique Dual Index (UDI) adapter design reduces index misassignment during multiplexed sequencing runs. A pierceable foil seal on the adapter plate enables access to defined portions as needed. The kit is intended for molecular biology applications and is not intended for the diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of disease.
