Description

QIAGEN's high-content multimodal panel supports targeted next-generation sequencing studies that profile DNA and RNA alterations through a single consolidated workflow. According to QIAGEN, the workflow starts with total nucleic acids and prepares targeted DNA and RNA libraries containing Unique Molecular Indices (UMIs) for Illumina platforms in a one-day procedure, reducing user interventions by 50% compared with separate DNA and RNA workflows. The chemistry enables confident detection of low-frequency variants with UMIs and reduced index hopping via Unique Dual Indices (UDIs), while delivering comprehensive coverage of known and novel fusions and other relevant alterations.

Per QIAGEN, the panel targets 523 DNA genes for SNP, InDel and copy number variation detection, 56 RNA fusion genes for fusion, exon skipping and alternatively spliced variant detection, and 26 microsatellite instability (MSI) loci. Libraries can be constructed from as little as 10 ng total nucleic acid isolated from a wide range of samples and are compatible with Illumina MiniSeq, MiSeq, NextSeq, HiSeq and NovaSeq instruments when used as directed. Raw FASTQ data is processed through CLC Genomics Workbench and interpreted using QCI Interpret for QIAseq.

QIAGEN specifies that the product is intended for molecular biology applications and is not intended for the diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of a disease. Users are directed to the relevant QIAGEN kit handbook or user manual for sample preparation guidance, QC metrics, sequencing recommendations, and up-to-date licensing information.
