QIAseq miRNA library QC spike-in (96)

Part of the QIAseq miRNA Library QC PCR Panel and Assays from QIAGEN, the QIAseq miRNA Library QC Spike-ins support rigorous quality control of both sample quality before NGS library preparation and NGS performance post-sequencing. The spike-ins can be added during RNA isolation or directly to RNA samples before small RNA library preparation, enabling monitoring of the technical quality of RNA isolation and cDNA synthesis, as well as the presence of PCR inhibitors in the sample.

Amplification of the spike-ins allows assessment of the reproducibility and linearity of NGS reads mapped to these exogenous sequences, supporting evaluation of NGS reproducibility and identification of technical outliers. Compatible with biofluid samples and cells/tissue, the workflow includes cDNA synthesis with a UniSp6 Spike-In, qPCR reactions, sample evaluation, NGS of accepted samples, and final evaluation of the spike-in data. The GeneGlobe data analysis center for QIAseq miRNA library kits automatically aligns and reports on the spike-ins alongside small/miRNA/piRNA from the sample.

QIAseq miRNA Library Kits are recommended for gel-free library construction of miRNA, piRNA and small RNA on Illumina and Thermo Fisher Scientific NGS instruments. For more accurate ratios of spike-ins versus endogenous miRNAs in other sample types or when using isolated RNA samples, experimental titration is recommended.
