QIAseq miRNA 96 Index Kit UDI A–D (384)

An indexing accessory from QIAGEN, the QIAseq miRNA 96 Index Kit UDI A–D supplies Unique Dual Indexes (UDIs) for sample indexing during microRNA and small RNA library preparation for next-generation sequencing on Illumina NGS instruments. Designed to be used alongside a QIAseq miRNA Library Kit, this kit provides a UDI-specific 5' Adapter, a UDI-specific RT Initiator, and a UDI sample index plate supplied as a liquid in 96-well hard plastic format, pre-plated for ease of use.

Each well of the index plate contains 9 µL of pre-mixed sample indexing oligos, sealed with a pierceable foil seal and intended for single use. The UDI configuration uses a fixed pair of two distinct index barcode motifs per sample, which mitigates the risk of read misassignment due to index hopping during demultiplexing and supports highly accurate output data. Combining libraries prepared with different UDI plates enables multiplexed sequencing of up to 768 samples, and the UDI A–D set specifically supports 384-plex sequencing when used together.

The kit is shipped on dry ice or blue ice and components should be stored immediately at −30°C to −15°C in a constant-temperature freezer upon receipt. QIAGEN notes that for experimental consistency, data should only be compared with RNA-seq libraries that use the same type of indices (single or unique dual indices), and that all samples in a data set should use UDIs to keep protocol and sequencing consistent. As with all QIAseq miRNA products, the kit is intended for molecular biology applications and is not intended for the diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of disease.
