QIAseq FX DNA Library UDI Kit (24)

From QIAGEN, this library preparation kit uses an all-enzymatic FX fragmentation approach to generate whole-genome libraries for Illumina next-generation sequencing workflows. The sequence-independent fragmentation chemistry removes the need for mechanical shearing equipment and requires no sample clean-up before adapter ligation. Fragment size is controlled by incubation time, and the protocol minimizes GC bias to deliver uniform coverage across GC-rich genomes, with the complete workflow taking approximately 2.5 hours.

The kit accepts 20 pg – 1 µg of genomic DNA and is suited to limited, degraded or microbial samples, including metagenomic and clinical isolates. Multiplexing is enabled through plate-format dual bar-coded adapters, with configurations supporting up to 1536 samples per pool. An optional high-fidelity amplification step can be added to the otherwise PCR-free protocol to increase library yield, and cleanup can be performed with QIAseq Beads for straightforward automation.

Designed for whole-genome sequencing, metagenomics and hybrid-capture target enrichment on Illumina and Element platforms, the streamlined protocol reduces hands-on time and run-to-run variability and can be automated on high-throughput platforms. Unique dual indices support robust multiplexing and demultiplexing of pooled libraries.
