QIAseq FastSelect -rRNA HMR Kit (8)

QIAGEN's magnetic bead-based rRNA depletion chemistry selectively removes cytoplasmic and mitochondrial ribosomal RNA from Human, Mouse, and Rat total RNA samples, streamlining RNA-sequencing workflows for mammalian transcriptomics. The QIAseq FastSelect -rRNA HMR Kit targets 28S, 18S, 5.8S, 5S, 12S, and 16S rRNA species in a single tube-based reaction, leaving mRNA, long non-coding RNA, and other informative transcripts available for downstream library construction. Compatible input spans 1 ng to 1 µg of total RNA, including partially degraded material from FFPE blocks, sorted cells, and other low-yield sources where RNA integrity may be compromised. Hands-on time is roughly 30 minutes per depletion reaction, integrating readily with stranded RNA-seq library protocols. Reagents are provided in a kit sized for 8 sample preparations and should be stored frozen at -20 degrees C, with enzymes tolerating limited freeze-thaw cycles to preserve activity across runs. Applications include differential gene expression analysis, isoform quantification, fusion transcript discovery, and characterization of non-coding RNA landscapes in human and rodent model systems sequenced on Illumina platforms.
