QIAseq FastSelect RNA Lib Fish Kit (24)

This QIAGEN kit provides targeted removal of fish ribosomal RNA during RNA-seq library preparation, acting during the reverse transcription step of NGS workflows. According to the manufacturer handbook, the QIAseq FastSelect chemistry can remove up to 99% of unwanted cytoplasmic and mitochondrial rRNA in a single step completed in 14 minutes, and is designed for 1 ng to 1 µg of total RNA inputs. The technology is compatible with both high-quality RNA and highly fragmented samples, including inputs derived from FFPE preparations.

The kit works alongside a broad range of commercially available stranded RNA-seq library preparation kits and integrates without requiring additional enzymatic cleanups or separate RNA depletion steps. Within the broader QIAseq FastSelect RNA Library Kits family, the chemistry supports stranded RNA-seq library construction for transcript identification, fusion gene discovery and high-throughput gene expression, with RNA inputs that may come from tissues, exosomes, FFPE samples and cell lines. RNA from eukaryotic, prokaryotic and fungi samples is also supported.
