From QIAGEN, the QIAseq FastSelect RNA Library Kit supports stranded RNA-seq library construction for transcript identification, fusion gene discovery and high-throughput gene expression. It accepts high quality or fragmented input RNA, enabling RNA-seq libraries from tissues, exosomes, FFPE samples and cell lines, and accommodates RNA from eukaryotic, prokaryotic and fungal samples.

Designed as a bacterial-targeted depletion tool for metatranscriptomics and bacterial RNA-seq, the kit reduces reads from abundant bacterial ribosomal RNAs to increase sequencing depth for coding and regulatory transcripts. Sequence-specific blockers target common bacterial rRNA sequences to improve the usable read fraction.

It integrates into standard library-prep protocols without requiring a separate depletion workflow and is suitable for diverse bacterial samples and downstream NGS platforms.
